If your workflows just say <code>runs-on: ubuntu-latest</code> and assume that means &quot;whatever Ubuntu GitHub feels like giving me, it'll be fine&quot; — it usually has been fine, until it silently isn't. This release moves the default JDK from 17 to 25, drops several tools outright, and jumps Docker Compose, Helm, and CMake across major versions.
